Draw Terms

The rules for our ticket draws and waiting lists. Last updated: 20 July 2026.

The short version

Everything we run is free to enter. Lotteries: we pick winners at random, and winning gets you the chance to purchase tickets within a time window. Waiting lists: we email you if tickets become available for the show you're waiting on.

Who's running this

The draws and waiting lists are run by West End Lottery Ltd (“WEL”, “we”), company no. 17241602, of 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. You can reach us at hello@westendlottery.com. The shows and venues themselves are not the promoter and aren't responsible for the draws.

Entry Rules

Entry is free. No purchase is ever necessary to enter.
You enter by signing up on soldoutboard.com or on a page we run for a show, with a valid email address.
You must be 16 or over. Some shows carry their own age restrictions, which apply on the door as normal.
One entry per person per draw or list. Duplicate or automated entries will be removed.
People professionally involved in a show (its producers, venue staff and their immediate families) can't enter for that show.

Lotteries

Winners are selected at random from eligible entries.
A win is the chance to purchase one pair of tickets within the time window given in the winner email. Tickets are held for you to buy at face value. We never charge more than face value, and we never charge for entry.
Tickets are claimed in the winner's name at the venue box office. Tickets aren't transferable and can't be resold — a resold ticket is void.
There's no cash alternative, and a win for one show can't be swapped for another.
Anything not taken up within the window is released back to the show.
Ticket numbers are limited and set by the show, not by us. Entering doesn't guarantee a win.

Waiting lists

Joining a waiting list means we'll email you if tickets become available for that show — returns, releases or extra dates.
Tickets may never become available. Joining doesn't reserve anything or guarantee you'll hear from us about that show.
Where more people are waiting than there are tickets, purchase will be on a first come, first served basis.
You can leave a waiting list any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

The practical bits

Shows can sell out again, change, or cancel — that's the Fringe. If a show cancels, the venue's normal terms apply to any tickets; the draws and lists carry no compensation.
Getting to the venue is on you. We're not responsible for travel, accommodation or any other costs.
We may need to verify entries and can disqualify any entry we reasonably believe breaks these terms.
If something outside our reasonable control breaks a draw (including technical failure), we may re-run, extend or cancel it. We'll be as fair as we can about it.

The legal bit

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, or our liability for anything that can't legally be limited. Otherwise, our draws are provided free of charge and our liability in connection with them is limited to re-running the draw in question. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, unless you live in Scotland, in which case Scots law and courts apply to you.

These terms may be updated from time to time; the date above shows the latest version. If a specific draw has its own stated rules, those apply alongside these.
